To share environmental problems, explore ways to address them with a view to reinforcing international environmental cooperation

To introduce Korea’s environmental management and polices through field trip to advanced environmental facilities or related sites

Introduction of Korea’s environmental policies and visit to related sites and sound environmental facilities

4 diplomats from India and Indonesia attended

Shared environmental dialogue and visited the Sudokwon Landfill Site

The 2nd Round of the Program

Held on August 31, 2007

6 Ambassadors from Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines and Singapore attended

A Korea-ASEAN Forum on Environmental Cooperation proposed to regularize the program for Ambassadors to Korea

Visited the Sudokwon Landfill Site

The 3rd Round of the Program

Held on November 21, 2007

8 Ambassadors and their spouses from Cambodia, Egypt, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Singapore, and Thailand attended

An Initiative to Strengthen Environmental Cooperation proposed to prompt action from Ambassadors regarding the proposed Korea-ASEAN Forum on Environmental Cooperation

Visited the National Institute of Biological Resources

The 4th Round of the Program

Held on April 25, 2008

Attended by 9 Ambassadors from Egypt, Laos, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Kazakhstan
